While there might be dozens of devices in the market that can be used to recharge batteries, the 12 Volt Solar Charger is the most different. Depending on brand and point of purchase, the price of these chargers is slightly higher or the same as that of conventional chargers.  The good news is that these devices will save you a lot of money in the long run. There are many advantages in using a product that never needs to be plugged in.

Plug in devices are more expensive to use because they consume more energy and hence you will have to pay more for your electricity. A device containing a solar panel never needs electricity. It uses energy stored from the sun to recharge batteries.

Environment conscious people prefer to use solar panels to power electrical devices and recharge batteries as opposed to conventional energy sources. Some devices that can be powered by solar energy include lanterns and flashlights among other power tools. While solar panels are viable substitutes to grid electricity, they are also suitable for outdoor activities where there is no grid-electricity.

Camping and hunting trips mean plenty of preparation. Having a 12 Volt Solar Charger means less space is needed to pack extra batteries. This means that you can get to the hunting ground or camp site faster. To read my review of a good homemade solar guide, take a look at Green DIY Energy.

With many products, the solar pan can be put anywhere that it is exposed to the sun. Some models come with stands and can be rotated to face any direction like the American Hunter BLEC twelve among other similar devices. This product is priced around $20, which means that it is an affordable alternative to buying more batteries.

It is very difficult to hunt or camp in the dark. Having a solar panel to keep all the batteries fully charged means that your lantern or flashlight will be able to give you all the light you may need. Hence, you will have nothing to worry about.

The Charge It brand from Tool King costs a little more but can work with a wide range of devices, from car and motorcycle batteries to flashlight batteries. The device is triangular in shape and can be placed vertically or horizontally. This property makes it possible for car owners to place it under the hood of the car or a boat. It also comes with a digital display that shows whether or not the clamps are properly connected, and costs around $70.

The Sunforce Moto Master Eliminator comes as a folding solar panel made with nylon backing and thin film to harness solar energy. This model is priced just under $100 and offers many advantages. The thin film is supposed to be better at collecting solar energy. Since the device folds easily, it is easier to carry it from place to place.

Any person who wants an alternative to charging batteries can locate a model to fit specific needs and budgets. Having a device like this for outdoor use and for charging batteries is smart. It can be taken to places without access to electricity and eliminates the need for long and cumbersome power cords when working with batteries at home.
